Description
An DIY Adirondack low chair, easy and inexpensive to build.
The purchase is for a downloadable file with 13 pages of plan drawings, pictures, and step-by step instructions.
The measurements are in both standard and metric.
And as with most of my projects, I used the cheapest suitable lumber.
In this case I went for (rough) sawn treated pine, 2×4 (50 x 100mm) and 1×6 (25 x 150mm). The sawn effect gives it sort of a rusticated look.
Rough sawn lumber is lumber that hasn’t been dressed, planed, dimensioned, or seasoned.
Materials.
The whole project can be made out of 3 pieces of 2×4 (50 x 100mm) lumber 8ft (2400mm) long, and 3 only 1×6 (25 x 150mm) boards 6ft (1800mm) long.
You will also need the following fixings.
40 only 3″ (75mm) galvanized flathead nails
20 only 3-1/2″ (90mm) galvanized flathead nails
10 only 4″ (100mm) construction screws
